Having owned a 981 Base Cayman and a 981 Boxster S, I still have a hard time with the sound of the motor. I've driven the 718 Cayman S a few times and it was quick and felt good, but the motor sound was just a killer for me. I did REALLY like the steering feel of the 718. Super quick and well done and easily my favorite part of the car and better than the 981. But if I were to get back into a Cayman or Boxster, it would be either the 987 or 981 models.

I own a 2020 Mazda MX-5 RF. I put a chip that claims to add 60 hp. Put a cold flow air filter. Zero to 60 is 5.0 seconds. 35.5 mpg city and interstate drive combined. Behind the passenger seat has a glove compartment that the video didn't mention. 17 in. standard wheels with the same tires that was in the video. Zoom Zoom equals fun fun fun.

The factory delivered my 2024 GT 5.0 late last year. Engine is outstanding. This is my third mustang in my 49 years on this planet and I can't believe how many times I've almost died trying to use the new air, heat, and other screen features while driving. It is an absolute disaster. I'm going to have to take the car back because it is utterly unsafe to drive if you actually have to interact with the infotainment screen while driving. Nothing is intuitive and most things take multiple screens to get through. How in the world Ford thinks that this car is safe is beyond me. Either put the dials back that people can adjust while keeping their eyes on the road or rip out all the screen technology. It would be a lot safer and less infuriating.

The base car will deliver a drive that is unique to Porsche. If you have the means, I highly recommend it. I have a Cayman S, and it’s a terrific car. Rather have a 4.0 6-cylinder, but those are hard to find.

No one that has an interest in driving and cars more generally actually wants what is now considered a 'modern interior'. Rubbish screens, even to control the climate control in many cases.

Good video and I agree with your overview. The Dark Horse on the track is amazing. Better than the Mach I and better than the GT-350 but not the GT-350R but very very close to the R. Lowering the weight by 300 pounds significantly changes the Dark Horse. Best brakes on a car period!!!!! My recommendation is buy the S650 with the GT Performance option most definitely!!! The performance package is available on the base GT, not only the premium and dark horse, I had ordered my 5.0 about 2 months ago, got the 5.0 with performance package and black package with A exhaust

I'm looking to get one of these and I did feel a little down on the interior, however I did not get a change to play around with the touch screens and features. It seems like it does have many modern features inside that system and it looks properly responsive. Something I do not like about the S550 digital screens is that they feel laggy, mostly the digital cluster. Also, on this new model I like more the two split screens than the single whole screen, in the end the single one is still the two but linked by a piece of black plastic. I think I will go with a 301A with active exhaust. Thanks for the video and congrats on owning a GT350!

Answer: yes. However, don’t get the convertible. I had a 2018 M4 F83 and it was a great car; but too heavy for performance practicality. Highly recommend getting the F82 coupe variant. Lighter, better at handling, and it’s a stunner!

This is by far the best presentation of a Land Rover Discovery 2. Old car, old stuff, but well made and functions that todays cars can only dream about, since all development money goes to software for the infotainment screen, which seems to be more important than the car itself. Big screens and less buttons makes chances for accidents higher. Please do an episode 2, with a bit more challenging off-roading, and more about the drive train. Btw, I am sure the two sun roofs are not meant to call for the princess, but to stand up with a pair of binoculars scouting, and a gun for big game hunting (in relative safety). That's what my father did years ago. Kind regards

I Love 911's but there's too many variations, the base 911 is too quick for any road, theres not enough difference between the base 911 and the 4S

Love this spec but prefer a manual. The new S650 Shelby Super Snake is my dream. Identifying magnesium shift paddles as plastic is quite the diss lol. Edit : Your presentation is superb brother.

Wife has a Macan GTS. She's a real estate agent and puts around 2K-2.5K miles a month on the car. So I'd say - yes. It's a very good daily driver - other than the crappy $$$MPG$$$.

Don't buy the base model they lose their value the most .The 911 t is a good choice as it's instantly an iconic classic .

G63 is one of the worst values on the car market IMO. Grossly overpriced, ill suited for the public roads they're used on 99.9% of the time, and purchased almost exclusively by those seeking attention or attempting to impress others.

My 3rd Macan S…2016,2021, 2024. PROS: power, handling, looks, build quality,comfort, exhaust tone, tech options, Bose CONS: PSCB brakes seem weak, must use paddles to manually shift (console lever will not), strongly preferred the one color interior of the 2016 (compared to the required black dash,carpet,headliner now) Bottom line: I like it. A lot.

These two cars are aimed at different markets, so not sure why thy the comparison. Also, these cars shine on fast, flowing country roads, so doing a review on straight suburban roads seems pointless to me. I'm a 911 and M3 owner so I understand these cars, and driving them in this way makes no sense to me. Just my $0.02 as always. Not right or wrong.

I'm picking up one of these up next week. There aren't a lot of options for people that want relatively lightweight, high horsepower, and a smaller car, which will also be reliable. For the twisty and narrow back roads I drive on those are the attributes I wanted. My last sporty car was a E46 BMW M3 with the competition package. I loved that car except for it's weight (~3400lbs). The 991.1 C2S being 300lbs lighter with ~70 more horsepower and ~60 more ft/lbs torque seems like a sweet spot for someone like me. I could get a 992, but the size and weight increase makes it less appealing to me.

I drove a C4S yesterday at the dealership. It was the first time I’d ever driven a Porsche. I absolutely love the size of the 911. I love the seats. I love how it feels so tight and light. I was a bit surprised how loud it was when I got on it but it was loud in a good way. About the only thing I didn’t like was that the gauge cluster (the outside parts) - like the navigation screen is partially hidden behind the steering wheel. I know everyone mentions that in the reviews and it really is dumb. Maybe if it was my car I could position the wheel to make it not so bad. But other than that it’s an amazing car and I think with the economy downturn there is a bit of negotiation room now.

Drove nothing but manual Porsches for years and thought I would never own a PDK. Recently bought a 2018 C2S and I have to say I love the PDK. It's really the best of both worlds in a daily driver. Going to get a coffee and just want to relax let the transmission do the work, want to play race car, put it in manual and have fun! In addition the 991 cars let you use the paddles or the gear selector to shift, for me with years driving the manual using the shift knob feels right at home.

I just traded my beloved '07 RS 4 manual (w/ only 54K miles on it) for the '24 Cayman S manual. Being used to V8 naturally aspirated instant torque and ample HP I was a little skeptical about the 4-cylinder Cayman S. Much as you stated, the lag is close to non-existent and the power and torque the 4 delivers with the well over 1000 lb weight loss makes the Cayman S feel faster than the V8 Audi. The Cayman is such a wonderful driving experience overall that no sedan, no matter how spec'd out, can hope to equal. I would wager there might be some 911 drivers (lower versions of course) that do not get this level of car and driver experience. The '24 Cayman S is like a bit of an easter egg of a driving package which unless you experience it first hand you simply couldn't understand. Enjoyed your observations.

Between a base and an 'S.' in the used market I would choose the car with the options I wanted. I'd take a fully loaded base over a minimally optioned 'S.'
